Moroccan Moorish Style 1900s Side Chair with Richly Carved Décor and Star Inlay
$ 93.87
A Moroccan Moorish style accent side chair from the early 20th century, with richly carved décor, mother-of-pearl inlay, Arabic calligraphy and X-Form base. Created in Morocco during the Turn of the Century which saw the transition between the 19th to the 20th, this Moorish style side chair captures our immediate attention with its abundantly carved décor and elaborate lines. The chair is topped with a beautifully carved crest adorned with mother-of-pearl inlay and geometric patterns surrounding a central pierced diamond accented with turned motifs. Arabic calligraphy follows and leads the eyes to the curving slats making up the rest of the back. The wooden seat, echoing the rich décor, is resting upon an X-Form base raised on two low stretchers. Boasting a dark patina complimenting the lighter tones of the mother-of-pearl inlay, this Moroccan Moorish style side chair circa 1900 will make for an exquisite accent chair in any home!
